Eating Local: La Croisette

La Croisette is back and open on St Pete Beach!

Breakfast near the beach is always a great way to start the day. And we were happy to try the new/old La Croissette located at the corner of Corey Ave and Gulf Blvd. SPB regulars will remember this spot as Beverly’s, and it’s back open, refreshed, and just as delicious.
A French couple took ownership in 2020, and they’ve revived the space with a fresh, clean look. The bright pink façade is still there, and indoor and outdoor seating is available. You can also purchase fresh-baked French bread and pastries right from the counter.

Though it was noon when we stopped in, they were only serving breakfast, but that’s ok because we got to try some yummy options.
The BLT croissant was light and flaky and served with perfectly seasoned breakfast potatoes. We also tried the La Lorraine homemade quiche, which was creamy and fluffy (sounds like a contradiction, but it’s true) and melted in your mouth.

Before we left we couldn’t go past the pastry cabinet, and took home a selection of baked goodies – all devoured by dinnertime!

Owner Natalie was fluttering about in a flowery dress, charming and engaging with all the customers. She talked us through the different types of pastries on offer, and even let us try the pain au chocolate. OMG so good!

We can’t wait to go back and try out some of the lunch selections, which are sure to be wonderful.
